Hi! well, after more than one week of troubles and headaches, i'm posting this, at least strange job... It could have many feelings, maybe the name "As i wish..." bring you some feeling, but in the truth, i tried to show how the people dogmatize THINGS, some people drop out their social lifes and feelings because your love for material things is higher...
I worked with some textures and blending modes... like other jobs, i tried to make my best on shadows, but here we are to improve it again!
I know, it may be crazy, it's my point of view hehehe, hope you enjoy!!!
UPDATE #1:
- Improvements on the two girl hands, i tried to give more realistic light and shadows for them.
- Little level adjustments on the wallpaper, to bring more contrast through dark and light.
- More details on the hand of the wall. I tried to give more realistic details, since the older version was really not balanced with the body of the woman.
- The dress under the hands of the wall is more detailed with folds.
This is really incredible. I love the way this expresses so much emotion, and it really amazes me how you view such simple things in the world with so much detail. I've seen many artworks similar to this, but this specific one has such an effect on me that I cannot simply describe it to you in mere words. This reminds me of a small child with an imaginary friend.
The title itself makes you think of what the story could be behind this artwork; about what the girl feels, and whose 'wish' it is. What she's thinking and why it turned out this way is beyond me. I believe hundreds of thousands of people should see this work and learn something from it. This could teach us a thing or two about ourselves and others, how we see people and view other things in our life. I would really love to see more work like this in the future from you.
I love the low saturated tones and particularly the wallpaper and wrinkles.
From a distance all is perfect.
Though, quality speaking, there are some flaws regarding cut outs and shadings/shadows.
For instance, the woman's hands don't seem to follow the same lighting from the overall image. (they seem to white)
And the Wall's hands look a little oddly cut out and also have the same shading issues.
But as mentioned earlier, from a distance or thumbnail, none of these observations are visible.
You did a great job.
Congrats.
